Since I was very young I always loved reading, writing, drawing, animals and nature.  I never imagined that my love would eventually become my profession, and I am so grateful that it has happened that way.

I have been both formally and informally taught as well as self taught.   I have gained much strength, support and inspiration from all the talented and colorful people in my life. I hope you all know who you are!  I have truly been blessed.

I became a stay-at-home mom in 1999 when I became pregnant with our daughter Mary.  This wasn't an easy decision for me at first  being the independent woman I am.  However, it quickly became my greatest gift and joy.

When I tried to return to the workforce, I realized how empty I felt.  I missed being home when my daughter bounced off the bus.  So with my husband's love and support the seed of the Green Gourd was planted.

I am now a freelance artist, which gives me more time to be with my family and work on whatever creative inspiration I may have.  Because of the freedom of freelancing, my  life today is like a garden and in it grows an abundance of God's grace.

My husband, Bill and I have collaborated on many projects.  He is a talented artist and he has created many works of art in both wood and metal.
